Good for the American people to charge tariffs? We in the US already have the highest taxes for the least benefits in the industrialized world. While other countries have lower work hours, free to low cost health care & day care and free to low cost education including University the US does not have any of this.

Trade deficit is not a bad thing. Tariff is a tax on us businesses and consumers, taking money out of our pockets and putting it in the pocket of the govt. Foreign companies will not move there production to the US either becuase a product made here would still be more expensive than just paying the tariff and said product would not be competetive globally to export. US companies like Apple, Nike and Google already enjoy the profits of there products. Our labor should not be focused and low skill jobs, but rather making the next Google or Nike. Its called comparitive advantage economics you should read up on it. Free trade has made this country more money than you can fathom. Where all this went wrong is those profits never trickled down due to administrations tipping the scales in favor of corporations. This administration continues to do it as well. This is why education is important so people can understand what is really happening.

We literally just found out today July 30 where the the money is missing. The foreign companies ARE NOT EATING IT!!! Ford is eating it, $800 million of it. Ford just reported thier quarterly numbers. Sales have been great, profit is wiped out! They need to either increase prices now or go out of business. Either way America looses.

He does understand that those things aren’t manufactured in the US, right? Even if they wanted to manufacture them in the US there aren’t the facilities. And to manufacture them in the US is going to raise prices more.
