Ferrari crushed three entire counterfeit cars in 2023 as part of the most aggressive anti-counterfeiting campaign in automotive history, destroying over 400,000 fake items bearing the prancing horse logo. The Italian supercar manufacturer literally turned replica vehicles into metal cubes, sending a brutal message to counterfeiters worldwide that no fake Ferrari will survive their legal team's reach. The destroyed vehicles included sophisticated replicas built on real Ferrari chassis with fake higher-value bodywork installed overtop, plus a convincing Ferrari F430 replica that was actually a heavily modified Toyota MR2. These weren't amateur kit cars but professional counterfeits so convincing they nearly reached high-dollar auction houses before Ferrari's legal team intervened. "The counterfeiters are becoming ever more capable," stated Carlo Daneo, Ferrari's General Legal Counsel. "Some vehicles are realized so well that they end up going to auction, and it is our task to report them to the auction houses so that they are taken off the market. Our objective is always the same: it is not always enough to take them off the market; we want all the fakes to be destroyed." Beyond the three cars, Ferrari's 2023 crackdown eliminated over 100,000 fake clothing items, 91,000 counterfeit sunglasses, 61,000 fake watches, 30,000 bottles of knockoff Ferrari perfume, 800 scooters, and even a Ferrari-branded refrigerator. The company launched an Anti-Counterfeiting Reward Project that gives official Ferrari merchandise to anyone who reports convincing fakes. This aggressive approach reflects Ferrari's $53 billion brand value and zero-tolerance policy toward trademark abuse. As one of the world's most counterfeited luxury brands, Ferrari understands that protecting authenticity requires destroying fakes completely rather than simply removing them from sale, ensuring no replica can resurface to damage their carefully cultivated exclusivity.

Sample coupon add. A little too thin for my liking but perfect for sleeping or lounging in to stay nice and cool.
