as a new fan yeah the scoring is so confusing like I have no idea how well anyone is doing accept seeing how many point an element gets. ive also yet to learn the difference between the jumps while watching EVERYONE SPINS SO FAST 🤣🤣🤣

This! Media training isn't bad in itself – if you have an audience you should be able to protect your privacy. But at the same time I hugely miss the vibes of old skating, the crazy and fun programmes (at least for Gala!) and the feeling of community. Even if you could tell "oh these two don't like e/o", it's ok cause there were also friend groups, couples etc like it felt... More alive? I guess.

It’s also hard because skating is so inaccessible. If you don’t watch live, you don’t get to watch anything. The ISU doesn’t really distribute videos of skating and that frustrates me to no end. I hate needing to have a specific subscription service just to watch figure skating

It needs to come back to prime time. We need to stop focusing on just the jumps. A winner needs a well balanced program, artistry, skating skills with edges and knees.

It’s been made harder to watch as well. Can’t find it anywhere except for behind pay walls. And even then it’s only available for a few days before they take it down.

Yeah, it’s so bad that I don’t even watch figure skating competitions anymore. I find ice dancing more enjoyable instead.

I miss the professional competitions and the fun skating! My favorites were the Disson produced ones or when they showed skaters skating to Disney!
