@tay.vanessa: Send help. People always ask about my hair but I’m the one who needs serious hair tips atm. #wavyhair Outside of it being thick, mostly wavy with some sections of stick straight, and more curly. I don’t know what hair “type” I am at all.
Not a product recommendation but the Denman brush has helped me a ton with shaping certain flat spots!☺️

So it does involve a little bit of thinning - but my hairdresser twists my hair into sections and does a couple of cuts down the twists - it encourages my natural curls/waves to form a little bit better as it tapers slightly! Also found a light gel and mouse helps!

Steam and a salt spray brings my texture right back out no matter the length. Scrunch and diffuse if you’re feeling fancy

hair products! I have long hair that suddenly went wavy. I use a leave in conditioner and a gel/creme to scrunch into my waves so they form better and less frizzy.

You have beautiful texture! I’d recommend finding a hair stylist who works with hair similar to yours, a little bit more movement and texture (nothing dramatic) would make styling soo much easier. Also razor haircuts have been a game changer for me/my wavy clients <3

I would spray the hair with water and leave in conditioner. Scrunch to get that lovely texture back and air dry. Once dry, rub done texture cream into your hands and then add to ends to make it nice and piecey xx

I have the same texture hair and for it to be curlier, I do leave in, hard cast gel, diffuse so the curly holds its shape, then scrunch the cast out with oil. It’s beautiful but time consuming. Then sleep with it in a scrunchy on the top of my head. To refresh the next day I use a steamer and that makes my hair SUPER curly.

I have very similar hair! I honestly love my stylist but she does thin my hair..her name is Christine Conklin at Pinn Salon on Division and she’s NOT the super expensive curly girl hair dressers in town! 85 for a long hair cut! Shes amazing. Just saying!!!

what are you doing for styling? my hair is curly, and how "in my face" it is basically comes down to styling, with no product being the fluffiest/most in my face on one end and a strong hold gel being the most defined/least in my face on the other end. wavy ppl can chime in but I'd guess a mousse would get you awesome results w/o thinning or too much weight

Jvn air dry cream plus a good texturizing mousse. I know you don’t want to trim but a razor could lighten things up to coax out the waves a bit more!

Haircut aside- I can’t use smoothing or bonding shampoos and conditioners, this might be frowned upon but I actually use @Naturium glycolic acid body wash and my texture has been better than ever 😅 I also don’t condition every wash, only when my hair starts to feel a little dehydrated. I don’t use styling products, just a little sea salt spray! Everything else weighs down too much!
