i’m 37 and i’ve had so many health problems… I had a retinal detachment in my 20’s and cataract surgery in my early 30’s. i’m just happy to be here with two (sorta) working eyes because I honestly expected to be blind by now!! I’m sorry for your loss, glad we’re still here 💜 (I feel better than I did at 25 btw!!)

my dad grew up an only child, that wasn't always the case, my dad did have a brother, his only sibling, but my dad was in his childhood when his brother died, so was his brother, his brother died of Polio

I literally didn't think I'd live past 30, now that I've made it to 37, I embrace all the signs of aging (except the aches and pains. I whine about those all the time lol) and remind people "not everyone lives long enough to go grey" when they ask about my greys

I just turned 34 and I didn’t think I would make it this far. Too many of my friends I grew up with didn’t even get to see the age of 21 so I am embracing getting older. I’ve stopped coloring my hair so my greys can come out naturally, I’m not worried about Botox or fillers to get rid of wrinkles, I just feel privileged to be able to experience aging
