It depends on your goals. If you’re new to working out, just know that rest times can vary. For example, I lift heavy weights, so I take longer breaks between sets sometimes 2 to 3 minutes. That’s because my muscles need more time to recover so I can lift heavy again. But if your goal is fat loss or endurance, you might only rest 30 to 60 seconds. Just match your rest time to your goal!

Doc :
if you're actually there that long it's the rest periods, plus stretches and meditating -_- lol realistically we take like an hour tops, gym is life but we got a life, other things to do 😂

Used to go for 2+ hours a long time ago, I thought more time correlated with more gains. Now I just go for 45mins to an hour

If it’s weights only, the only way you can do that is if you’re a very strong powerlifter. Imagine your day is 585x5, 625x3 675x1, 700x1. Simply loading the plates for that takes a while and with those sets you need a break to ensure you’re strong enough for the next set. One lift alone can be an hour then an hour of accessory work

I used to be like that too but i’ll fully admit that it’s bc I didn’t know what I was doing to my body. I used to do leg day as one full day and wasn’t seeing progress, it would take like 2 hours maybe hour 45. But now I split leg day into 2 days, quads and glutes. It changed the time I spent there and I saw improvements faster because I wasn’t burnt out from all the exercises I was doing lol

No cardio? You can get a SOLID workout in an hour. Lift is about an hour, 30-40 minutes of cardio afterwards.

How do you do it so quick? Just lifting is an hour and a half. Then I do dynamic stretching before and static after and maybe 10-15 of cardio so that’s 2 hours

4-5 exercises, 3-4 sets, 3 minutes between sets + 30 minute cardio usually gets me to 2-2.5 hours🤷🏽♂️
