And this is why you wear your seatbelts even when the seatbelt sign is off. Turbulence is unpredictable sometimes.

I’m flying delta tomorrow. Guess what? I’m gonna stay buckled and relaxed like I always do. I fly twice a week with delta and they always do me right with flights. This had nothing to do with the pilots I can assure you that. You can’t determine how bad turbulence is gonna be. You can fly with anyone else trust me they’re not going to miss your little bit of money you spend to fly with them.

The last 4 times I have flown Delta out of salt lake this year, we have hit such severe turbulence that I thought the plane would fall out of the sky. Last week I flew to Portland and the turbulence was so bad at take off the entire plane had a collective panic gasp. I've been flying out of SLC for decades and have never experienced this degree of issues before. It makes me wonder if it's an airport location issue vs weather pattern issue vs a Pilot issue...
