ugh tom doesnt get it. scott didnt say he couldnt do both or that he didnt spend hours on his job he said if it ever affected his home life - it obvs hasnt yet. sounds like scott is a self aware guy. tom is also effectively another generation older and guys in sport in their 20s coming up now just know they have a finite time as a pro athlete and need to find fulfillment off the field too.

Brady is my dude, but he’s wrong about this. Ultimately he chose football over his wife and family even after he had accomplished everything possible in football. His marriage ended, and he can’t be the same presence he could have been in his kids life if he had retired when he should have. Scottie gets it, at some point it’s ok to say I have done enough, I have achieved greatness and made enough money, now I can be more family focused.
