It’s funny because they raised prices earlier this year because of the tariffs but then said the tariffs were on hold and they didn’t lower the prices and now they’re raising them again because of the tariffs. So it’s almost like it’s not the tariffs but the comapnies are just pocking more money and blaming the tariffs for raising prices.

Last year Costco had their 80/20 ground beef at $2.99/lb. It's now $4.99/lb. Burger used to be a relatively cheap meal. At this rate, meat will be added as a flavoring agent rather than the focus of the dish. I guess that's one way to get folks toward a plant-based diet.

the thing is companies are raising prices more than the terrifs are effecting them. they are charging more and blaming the terrifs. yeah the terrifs add to it but not as much as the prices are going up

interesting facts, we were starting to see a dip in 2024 of consumer spending and then immediately after Trump got into office we're seeing it go back up again because of how high the tariffs are, how coincidental 🙄

It’s normal , when you put tariffs on merchants who import goods, the prices will rise and the consumer will pay.
