Really all it takes is to research who is paying the tariff hikes. If you find foreign companies eating the costs, then great, it's working. I purchase for GM and haven't seen 1 foreign supplier not add the costs to their invoices.

tariffs are just being used as a blunt force mechanism to bully other countries. it will work in the short term against many. in the mid-term, it will primarily raise prices for US consumers. in the long term, it will degrade the influence of the US as other countries build alternate trade alliances, and likely get behind an alternate currency as the global reference.

We are so bored with the whole tariff thing here in Canada, we really don’t care anymore. Everytime there is a new headline, we all basically just scroll on by because… who cares at this point. We completely trust our PM to do the right thing. If he thinks he has all shaking in our boots… nope.
