@chandler_makes: How do you get rough lumber flat without without a jointer? I built this perfectly flat work surface to reference my rough lumber on, and after shimming up any corners that were raised, I take 3 to 4 passes with my homemade router sled, until it’s mostly flat. From there, I can flip it over and put it through my thickness planer until the opposite side is perfectly flat, then flip it over again, and finish up the first side, removing the router marks in any low parts that were in the middle of the board. It takes me about two hours per board to get it flat, but it’s a lot cheaper than buying S4S!
