@davidbombal: Age Verification - The Privacy Disaster Waiting to Happen… Governments are pushing age verification laws that force you to upload a passport, driver’s-licence selfie or credit-card scan just to access platforms like Reddit, X (Twitter), BlueSky or Xbox. I unpack why this “safety” measure is a privacy nightmare. We review the 59 GB Tea app breach that dumped women’s IDs, selfies and 1.1 million private messages online, plus the 15 billion credentials logged on Have I Been Pwned?. You’ll see how third-party vendors such as Persona store UK citizens’ data on US servers, creating cross-border exposure the moment a hacker breaks in. - Learn how centralised ID databases expand the attack surface - Understand why “1984”-style surveillance won’t protect teens or anyone - ACTION STEP: Check your own email on HaveIBeenPwned.com #ageverification #databreach #privacy
I don't know how people in the higher up position that think they are better than us regular people get to "solutions" like this...can I say my thinking? this thing would be so easy to implement...whenever you need to renew your personal id you would get a so called internet token id and that would be a check to verify with controlled servers if the person is of appropriatw age based on the servi e a user wants to access. without exsposing any actual data....but who am I right? 😂

The Tea app was test to check if people would be willing to upload their face and ID. The data breach that followed was a lesson. What did we learn?

this is their plan. they want to leak as much personal information as possible and then provide a solution for the entire world to register their data to the government.
