Let’s clear a major misconception: “Men are superior to women in Islam.” No, Allah never said that. But the truth is .. Surah An-Nisa (4:34) is often quoted: “Ar-rijālu qawwāmūna ‘ala an-nisā’” “Men are qawwām (maintainers/responsible) over women.” But Qawwām ≠ Superior. It means: • Provider • Protector • Responsible • Financially accountable It’s about Role, not Rank Being Qawwām is not a privilege. It’s a burden. It’s not a status upgrade it’s a test from Allah. If a man fails to provide, protect, or be just He is answerable to Allah. Stop twisting this verse to feed your ego. It wasn’t meant to glorify you it was meant to humble you. What about spiritual worth? Men and women are equal before Allah: Surah Al-Hujurat (49:13) “The most noble in Allah’s sight is the one with the most Taqwa.” Surah An-Nahl (16:97) “Whoever does good male or female We will give them a good life.” •Surah Al-Ahzab (33:35) Allah lists believing men and women equally in every virtue. No verse says “Men are better.”
