@thehungrycoder: Thai soup (Bangladeshi Style) Serves: 4 Proteins: - 1/2 cup chicken cut in small cubes - 1/3 cup shrimp cut in small pieces - 1/4 cup mushroom thinly sliced For the Soup: - 3 egg yolks - 1 Chicken Boullion - 2 Lemon grass sticks - 2-3 galangal or ginger thinly sliced - 1-2 kafir lime leaves - 1 tsp paprika - 3 cups of water - 2tbp cornstarch mixed with 1 cup of water - 2-3 green or red chillies (toward the end) Sauce mix: - 1/4 cup tomato ketchup - 1/4 cup chili sauce - 1.5 tbsp soya sauce Side sauce: (combine) - 1tsp green chilies - 1tsp red chilies - 3-4 tbsp vineger - 1tsp soya sauce - 1-2tsp honey Method. - Start by deveining the shrimp and cutting them into small pieces. - Cut the chicken thighs into small, bite-sized pieces, and thinly slice the mushrooms. - Combine all the ingredients listed above for the soup and the sauce mix. - Now turn on the stove and add water (a total of 4 cups is used in this recipe). - Once the soup starts to thicken and the proteins are cooked, - Throw in some chilies, turn off the heat, cover, and let it sit for a couple of minutes before serving. - Drizzle with some of the side sauce and enjoy!
