As someone who did just this, legally changed my name as a cis person, am I allowed to use the term dead name? Like to me it’s dead, I get visceral reactions when I hear it, but obviously I know it’s nothing compared to the way trans people feel. I’ve been saying birth name. Idk. How do other people feel about it?
