I did an in ground garden. Got free wood chips from a local tree cutting company, started all my plants from seed, reused old items for trellis and got compost from our chickens and bunny. Our biggest cost was our tomato trellises and our fencing but now tbag that’s done the cost is minimal!

Upfront cost is expensive yes agreed. If you buying seeds every season yes to that too but it gets cheaper 🤣 sometimes

I’ve started buying the smaller ones. Costs are less and they still hold 2-3 plants. Then I can buy 2-4 at at a time and not worry so much about it. 😂
