Type 2 is reversible friend! I was pre-diabetic in my early 20s. I stopped smoking and drinking. Started eating more veggies, I ate a low carb diet(cries in I love carbs), I had to exercise more, and stopped drinking my sodas I loved so much. Some drs are quacks. They just want the insurance money so they will tell you that you cannot fix this when you can. Lean protein, veggies and maybe do the rice 2x a week for awhile. It won’t be forever if you fix your diet homie. If I could do it you can too!

Oh Dean, I'm so sorry that people say, and think these horrible things to you and about you. Honestly, I think you are a good guy, with a deep love for your family. Type 2 diabetic here. you can still have rice and mashed potatoes just not every meal. I know sad times. with any carb measure the serving size. lots of protein. fresh fruits and vegetables
