AU MSME Forum 2025 – Abuja, Nigeria 🇳🇬 Honored to return to the African Union MSME Forum—this time in Abuja, Nigeria—representing Liberia. And what a journey it's been. Last year, I was honored to join the 3rd AU MSME Forum, held in Windhoek, Namibia. That forum brought together MSME ecosystem players from across the continent—policymakers, innovators, financial institutions, and entrepreneurs—all focused on unlocking financing, trade, and infrastructure support for small businesses in Africa. At that same forum, I was officially welcomed into the inaugural cohort of the Enterprise Africa Network (EAN) Fellowship—a highly competitive 12-month program to identify and scale 50 of the most innovative small businesses across the continent. I was proud to have Annita selected, and prouder to represent Liberia on that continental platform. Receiving my Certificate of Participation from the African Union and being named one of the Top 50 EAN Fellows marked a milestone in my journey—not just as a founder, but as a young African committed to building systems that create jobs, connect businesses, and strengthen local economies. That experience planted seeds that are still bearing fruit today. This year's theme, “Building Resilient MSMEs through Digital Innovation, Market Access & Affordable Financing for Africa,” couldn’t be more aligned with the very work we’re doing at Annita. Over the past four days, we didn’t just talk—we worked: Day 1: Unlocking MSME resilience through finance, digital infrastructure & strategic policies. Day 2: Elevating women- and youth-led businesses through capital, collaboration & inclusion. Day 3: Exploring AfCFTA readiness and the power of intra-African trade. Day 4: Spotlighting digital financing, export development, and the ecosystem innovations Africa needs now. Annita is no longer just a vision. It’s a necessary system. And being in these rooms—among policymakers, innovators, ecosystem builders, and fellow entrepreneurs—was not only humbling, it was confirmation. I am deeply grateful to the African Union Commission and Their Incredible Team, including Bulelwa Nkosi and Precious Agaecheta for creating this platform and for continuing to believe in the power of young leaders. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Jennifer Blagogee and EU TAF Support to the Afcfta (Technical Assistance Facility) through Expertise France for sponsoring my participation in this year’s Forum. Your investment enabled my voice and platform to be part of this historic gathering. You didn’t just support my travel—you supported a mission. To the EAN Fellowship team, and mentors, I’ve learned from along the way—thank you for challenging me to grow. I carry our shared experiences into every step I take. Most of all, to God be all the glory. Everything I’ve done, everything I’ve become, and every place I’ve been—it’s all by His grace. “Write the vision and make it plain… though it tarry, wait for it; it shall surely come.” – Habakkuk 2:2–3
