Had a table of 8 make a reservation for the restaurant across the street. Showed up at ours. Thought it was a mistake and tried to help and the man said, “No - we like your space better so we expect you to honor the reservation here.” We were fine dining on Nantucket at 7 pm on a Friday with multi day waitlist 🫠🫠🫠

this is why 5 plus tops require a credit card to guarantee it or there is a fee per guest applied...thank God... still doesn't deter them from double booking and then trying to get those fees back via dispute
