Ehh it’s mostly just not letting it air dry ofc don’t use scalding hot water but warm water is ok. Just don’t towel dry/blow dry( unless diffuser), use some leave in conditioner or mousse.

i understand this but on your wash day use warm water to open up the hair cuticle then shampoo , rinse with warm water. then conditioner and rinse with cold water. on co wash days or just wetting you hair just lukewarm cold water will do.

BESTIE LUCKY YOU, when i attempt to let it dry naturally i get a section of my hair will form a curl, another that gets a bit wavy and there is FOREVER that chunk that stays straight.i've tried almost every method under the sun when it comes to no heat drying and IT'S NOT FOR ME

Honestly as someone with type 4 curly hair that works in an hair and beauty store heat is only bad for your hair if it’s TO HOT, like if you use room temperature water when you wash it’s gonna have the same effect as if you was it with cold water. Room temperature water is even better since compared to cold water it opens up the hair follicle and let’s your schampo and conditioner get into the strand. And for drying your hair heat is the best way AS LONG AS U USE HEAT PROTECTENT since it makes sure your hair becomes the most strongest (dry) compared to if you let it airdry.
