My job tends to reflect the economy when it’s strong, we tend to be slow and this time of year is meant to be a slowest point, but last year post the holiday season when we see a bump that bump never went back down and we’re at our maximum volume nearly every day only for holiday season approaching yet again with no relief

I heard the only reason the previous months were even positive was through employment in healthcare - which is supposed to be growing as our overall population ages - if you take those numbers out, we’ve lost tens of thousands of jobs a month this year

Jobs are quickly being replaced by ai, especially entry level shit. The job market was not in a good state since covid (even before that with the riwe of offshoring labor) and the rise of ai is the final nail in the coffin.

my ceo was wondering why so many state gov and big corp people were cutting their budget down and I was like...👀do you even see the state of the economy? they can barely keep essential employees do you really think they have extra budget for training. which leads into the whole debacle of no funding means less education, less education leaves our country prone for a NUMBER of threats
