it takes a village but no one wants to build one. growing up in poverty it was us kids watching out for us kids. at 1st I always had a me 1st attitude and that was bcuz I had yet to experience poverty and loss. and once I did I understood that if I wanted things for me to get better I had to make connections with others which meant caring, sharing and watching out for others. and that lead to adults caring. now as an adult barely getting by trying to find ppl who are willing unite and help each other as a community is difficult at times.

In the UK and most of Europe tax pays for our children's school equipment and school meals and healthcare. USA claims to be a first world country but its so behind. where are your taxes going people?

they ask people to get extra because they are aware that other families can't afford everything. if people don't get extra supplies sometimes the teachers are going to be the ones getting extra supplies for the classroom. everyone wants a village no one wants to be a villager
