@ebbysadventures: AllTrails wasn’t completely accurate for this hike. It ended up being almost 12 miles. I would highly recommend starting closer to the #deltalake trail. I always set big goals for myself and I wanted to see all the lakes 🤣 I was so focused on this hike I barely took any videos. It was a fantastic hike and very challenging. My AllTrails caught a signal at one point and tried to upgrade me. It made me quite nervous, because that was my only trail navigation, as the trail is unmarked and I maintained. There was a portion of the trail that was melting snow, over bouldering, on a cliff and it was quite dangerous. I postholed in a few spots. I don’t usually using trekking poles, but I was grateful to have them. I do question if I should do some of these things solo, but I’m of the firm belief that our time on this earth is predetermined and I’m going to live to the fullest. I do carry a life straw on every hike now and I always have my inreach messenger just incase! Solo travel and hiking leads to more personal growth than we even realize! I feel like only morons tell outdoor enthusiasts to leave no trace, but if you aren’t an experienced hiker you might not know. Oh and swimming is not recommended here! #deltalaketrail #solohiker #hike #nature #live
