This should be an iniative of all food processing facilities, but unfortunately, it is not due to people spreading lies about costs and feasibility of recycling as if throwing it all in a landfill is a better option.

I just want people to know as much as I love Ben & Jerry’s, this process is super common in Europe and has been a set standard for years which is why most European countries don’t have landfills. I’m glad Ben & Jerry’s is doing this but more US companies need to do better with waste management. Speaking as a sustainability specialist
