So true, but it is a two way street. If I have a broken wrist and you have a broken femur, that doesn’t make my wrist hurt any less - however, I also need to be aware that someone with a broken femur may not want to hear me complain about my broken wrist.

This 100%. I saw someone else say their coworker constantly puts them down because they say, "oh you don't have kids, you don't know what tired is". And it's like yeahhhhh everything at this point is exhausting and overwhelming you don't need kids to experience it! Sure kids would amplify it even more LOL, but we ALL have responsibilities and are tired.

i can’t believe there are people arguing with this in the comments. i have friends who complain that i don’t open up when i do they sit there and compare. i know you’ve had it worse but i’m not obligated to feel good all the time. you don’t want me to talk about my issues?? cool i don’t wanna hear about yours either.

Plus you don’t know what someone goes through besides those 8 hours. How many days per week do they work or what do they do after or before work? You never know someone’s entire life so don’t judge it

oh and if you're an overthinker, that counts like 24 hours of on going work in your brain even if work itself just took 8 hours 🙃 it still drains energy. no one has ever understood how I became tired so "easily" ☠️

Literally people will say they’re tired after a short shift and if I say I’m tired I have chronic migraine 24/7 pain. Yh apparently it’s easy to be in so much pain and no job than to have a job in their eyes. Like I wouldn’t do that to them I wouldn’t invalidate their tiredness

Saw a post earlier about a new mum suffering post partum depression and crying to her mum. Somebody commented saying she can’t possibly have post partum depression because she has her mum there for support and the commenter didn’t have hers when she was suffering it.

Literally the other day my parents picked me up from work, I said that my feet hurt and I was tired (before I had gone to work I had marching band so I been on my feet the whole day before work) and my mom said that “I have never wanted to punch a kid so bad” LIKE WHAT, I GET THAT I DON’T WORK AS MUCH AS YOU BUT I LITERALLY HAVE BEEN ON MY FEET ALL DAY AND AWAKE SINCE 6 IN THE MORNING

my moms the worst in this.. i come home after 12h of work and just say that im so tired and she immediately jumps to "when i was your age i worked that long and got payed less so be grateful" like whattt i just said im tiredd and everytime i tell her she should stop it hurts she doesnt understand but im pretty sure she has some narcissistic traits anyways so.. im used to it after 24 years of living with her

met up w my bestfriend after months of not seeing eo. got a lil too excited sharing my thoughts, situations, and hopes bcus ive been bottling it up for so long (im not comfortable w other ppl) mid conversation, she told me that her boyfriend had it worst, hence im not supposed to feel like im struggling at all.. idk how to respond to that 😅 i fell silent and js continue listening to her talking abt her bf's struggles while im contemplating my own feelings validation 🥲
