It's proof to all that companies do not care about the veteran employee anymore. There years of service are nothing. The more loyal you are, the less money you make. It's time for a reboot and live your best life. Even if it means changing your career. You get one life, don't waste 24 more years with a company that doesn't know your value. 😉

I was laid off of a company I worked at since I was 18 last summer, I’m 43 and worked there for 24 years. If you are lucky enough to get severance, take some months off, refIect, relax, have fun. I started looking for a job right away, turned down a few, didn’t get a few I thought I was perfect for but landed a great position in January of this year and significantly better pay! Something better will come along, rest for now 💞

I can resonate with you. After 22 years spent head over heels in this company, I was laid off as well. The position was eliminated. Here, I thought it was going to be where I finish my career/retire. I don’t have any answers either, and I really hope that you and I can find what the universe has in store for us.
