When white people hear music by black ppl they see it as hip-hop no matter the genre so then they don’t take it seriously. When black people hear it and it doesn’t have enough hip-hop elements they generalize it as “white people music” and write it off as weird.

Newjeans song production before debut which is YEARS (confirmed by their producers) was already exploring “pinks sound”, pink even used a sample of a SHINEE song which mhj helped produce, so wouldn’t pink be the copy? now with that I’m jk cus pink is wonderful at what she does but newjeans being called copyrs is just blatantly wrong.
