Repair shop owner here, avoid eating anything near the laptop, a lot of people drop food crumbs in this area and they end up collecting and it can cause the bezel to crack when you close the MacBook which can break your screen!

If you have an iPad, use it as a second monitor and the mouse can cohesively go from MacBook to iPad and back. I absolutely love it

don't worry abt anything scratching it, get a case/cover, dont get a keyboard cover, they collect dust, other food particles, sweat, etc, and when you close it it will get on the screen, dont play the Sims
