I could be wrong but it only works when the first digit is the same. so 24 × 27 would work but 12 × 26 wouldn't 24 × 27 (24 + 7) × 20 or you could do (24 + 7) × 2 × 10 = 620 4 × 7 = 28 620 + 28 = 648
