After chemotherapy, she developed severe, uncontrollable itching all over her body — a side effect that left her in unbearable pain. We took her to Colchester General Hospital that evening, trusting she would get the urgent care she needed. But nothing happened. She was left all night with no support, no treatment, no relief. By morning, I had to call her oncology team at UCLH — the hospital where she was actually receiving her cancer treatment — and they had to step in to guide the doctors at Colchester General on how to manage her symptoms. Only then did anything start to happen. As a parent, there’s no worse feeling than watching your child suffer while being ignored — feeling helpless, angry, and let down by a system that’s meant to care. This video was taken that night. We share it not just to show what Neepy went through, but to raise awareness and speak out. Because this level of neglect should never happen — to anyone.
