@littleleigh_xoxo: -The other day #KamalaHarris was on The Tonight Show, with the host #StephenColbert, promoting her new book. Which is titled “107 Days”. You can preorder it on #Amazon, #Target or anyplace, where you get your books. The launch day is on 9/23, published, by Simon & Schuster. She spoke about how she wasn’t running for the 2026 #California gubernatorial election. Cause #GavinNewsom’s term is up. (California has term limits, for governor). She spoke about the system being broken. When a proseuctor like herself, says that you know it’s “real”. Cause prosecutors, love protecting, serving their county, by fighting for justice & being a real life super hero. SO, for a prosecutor, like #KamalaHarris saying that the system is “broken”, is like saying it is Racial bias, inequality in representation, mass incarceration (overly populated prisons) & lastly a lack of transparency & accountability. How to “fix” a broken system is, The first & foremost is criminal justice reformation. Better known as change laws & polices. Next is increase the transparency. Pretty much that means impove oversight& accountability. Followed by the acess to quality representation, ensuring a fair legal counsel. (Crimical defense lawyers (public defender) appointed by the judge, or hiring a crimical defense lawyer). This also goes in hand for a prosecutor too, to fight for your rights as a person. Weather it’s crimical to libel, lawyers are supposed to help people. Lastly Community engagement, like trust between law enforcement and communities. For an example When anyone faces violence, they should be able to run out in the middle of the street to wave down a police officer for help. #KamalaHarris quoted this “For now, I don’t wanna go back in the system. I think it’s broken. I always believed that as fragile as our democracy is, our systems would be strong enough to defend our most fundamental principles and I think right now, they’re not as strong as they need to be.” #KamalaHarris was a district attorney of #SanFrancisco, then attorney general of #California & then senator of California. Lastly she became #VicePresident. SO she saw it first hands as a prosecutor. What justice was all about, by meeting the burden of proof in every single trial, beyond a reasonable doubt. Such as I do remember Dr.#ChristineBlaseyFord, in 2018. She testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee, about her own sexual assault with #brettkavanaugh. (I was 30 years, old when I first saw this). She was was a pioneer on the #MeToo movement. Which silenced & still does for women, by being in the dark. Same for suffering in silence, who was sexually assaulted, harassed, abused, molested, a product of incest & sex trafficked, had an abortion (#RoeVsWade), or had a miscarriage. Due to living in a world of misogyny/misogynists, or being faced with ignominy. Dr. Christine Blasey came forward about her own experience of sexual assault. Without shedding a tear, nor acting overly dramatic, though her voice cracked quite a few times. She was composed & poised as she answered questions from the 13 bipartisan senators on each aisle. From #Democrats & #Republicans. Towards the very end, she was questioned by #KamalaHarris, She told her every word a woman who was sexually assaulted & harassed against her own wishes, “I believe in you”. Better known as #GirlCode. After that Gretchen Carlson, came forward about her own sexual assault & advocating for victims sexual harassment & assault. Which shortly became the HR 4445 - Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault & Sexual Harassment Act of 2021). This law will help survivors of sexual assault have their moment in court to testify against their abusers. That silenced victims & protected their perpetrators for such a long time. #KamalaHarris, #KirstenGillibrand, #ChuckSchumer, #CheriBustos, was present on 3/3/22. When #JoeBiden signed The Ending Forced Arbitration of Sexual Assault & Sexual Harassment act, which became a federal law. (#FYP) 🦋☁️🩵✨
