Have I ever owned a horse? No. Can I afford one? Also no. Did I watch it all? Every last second!

Not that it really matters, it's the education, but am I the only one that noticed the Dr.'s name is actually Dr. Neu according to her scrub top? 🤔

Referring to The Netherlands: Up until a couple of years ago they said a horse isn’t allowed to lay down with colic, you have to walk. Due to the risk of intestinal torsion. Now they say it’s okay if they lay down as long as they aren’t constantly rolling. What’s dr. Powell’s opinion about it?

Maybe another subject could be Equine Uveitis. Years ago my Arabian mare had this when I was deployed in the military. Her care givers and the vet went through the process with me but I never really understood how and or why it happened.

I had a beautiful mare pass away painfully from colic. I wish I had understood better and been able to help her having more info like this and react quicker. she might have survived 😳

I'm sure I wasn't the only one who asked about horse anatomy, but thank you so much for answering my question! Also, it amazes me when evolution does things that are kinda problematic in animals (or humans) - like the 90° turn on the horses intestines.
