twice this year i’ve spent more time on documenting/meeting about a feature release than the time it took to actually create and release the feature 😂 i’m convinced management just likes feeling involved so they can add a few more zeroes to their bonuses

I’m blue collar, so there’s a huge disconnect between us. Nobody understands the Job. Explain job done or explain why job not done? Job was fast because the problem wasn’t the problem. OR Job was slow because the problem wasn’t the problem. But why are you faster or slower than we expected? Please only explain if it’s slower. You’re a valued member of this #1 team, so faster is the expectation and will never warrant a raise. Everyone gets a 3 of 5 and that’s the minimum we’ll allow and the most we’ll allow. Thats the excellence we hold as a minimum standard. It’s impossible to be better than that. Also… despite downward trending numbers, we’re still buying you all pizza
