I think yall have to remember that tipping is OPTIONAL for a reason. America’s a business, company’s are having you pay their employees paychecks with your tips. I also don’t like not being able to tip, so I do when I can, but I don’t push that on other ppl… If they don’t like that, they need to find another job 😭

go to japan and try to tip. my dad tippe a restaurant and then got chased down by a waitress after he’d left the place just so he could get his extra money back. culture varies, so it’s not “insane”, per say, for some people to not tip as a habit

As a barista in a coffee hut, we freshly make all of our food and drinks with real ingredients and so we ate doing roughly the work of a line cook at a restaurant and a waitress, and people will order $70 worth of food and fresh smoothies and not tip, its not that we will refuse service, but we make minimum wage and our tips keep us afloat from paycheck to paycheck, tipping is important. Most people who have worked a service job tip, because they understand but many people dont

As a barista and a birthday party princess I never expect tips. I’ve had coworkers complain about how parents didn’t tip, and it pisses me off so much because I never expect one cuz what if they saved up for this sweet lil gift for their kid
