I realized it was a coming of age movie when the doctor ended up not being actually evil. And we got a really really good third act. That was literally beautiful. God so good. And this song… great edit.

as an adult, the scene with him putting his mom's skull on the top was so devastating but healing at the same time. I watched the first movie with my mom so many years ago and she passed a few years after. idk, this felt healing like I was also saying goodbye to my mom. I was sobbing in the theater

Is it weird to say that her death was just beautiful? She knew yet wanted him to be told by someone else, it’s like they both got the closure they needed, he found out what she had and she was happy he wasn’t alone when it happened. Even tho it’s during an apocalypse he saw his mom truly live one last time thru the journey they took to her peaceful death.
