One of sims walked straight into the ocean and disappeared when i tried to get her to wash her plate

one time, my sim went out in the evening on full autonomy and when I checked on her she was running around the streets with a terrified look on her face. there was no notification about something that scared her. from that point on I started questioning if she suddenly gained consciousness and became self aware. she wouldn't even come back home. she was running for her life. i only build houses now. 😳
