Years ago, I walked through what I call my perfect storm It was a season of personal trauma, anxiety, exhaustion, and emotional spiraling, while trying to be the perfect mom to three kids who needed me more than ever I was snapping. Yelling. Overwhelmed by simple request. My kids even started calling me by the nickname “anger. “ But my anger wasn’t about my kids. It was about me and the pain I had and dealt with. My past was haunting my present. I was drowning in brain fog, sleepless nights, and secret sugar binges that only made me feel worse. That storm became a turning point Back then I cried after God. I asked for help and healing. And He led me to something unexpected. A natural, science backed way to support my mental wellness by healing the gut brain connection. I had no idea then what I was really being prepared for. You see, years before my son died, I found the very thing that would help me survive the unthinkable. I believe that God was preparing my body in advance for the most unimaginable pain a mother could ever walk through. And while nothing could ever protect me from the heartbreak of losing Antonio, I know now that mental wellness is not just about managing stress. It’s about surviving the deepest sorrow and holding onto hope in the dark. Grief doesn’t just break your heart. It breaks your brain chemistry. It overwhelms your nervous system It floods your body with chaos. The tools I had already put in place before Antonio died… the daily habits, the nutrients, the emotional support…became my lifeline. Today is world mental health day. And I want to share this… Mental health is physical health. Mental health is sacred. Mental health is preparation. You cannot wait until the trauma hits to figure out how to take care of yourself. If you are walking through something heavy right now, I want you to know this there is hope and there is help. And you don’t have to keep surviving in silence. Comments CALM and I’ll share with you what I’ve been using for years #grievingmom #childloss #childlosssupport #griefjourney #worldmentalhealthday
