My father used to beat us with a belt as punishment, but to be honest the worst punishment I can remember was when he threw away my toys because I got a bad grade in school, I begged him not to and he just threw them away, that's something I still can't forget and I'm already an adult, i would have rather him beating me with the belt than what he did. Parents sometimes don't know the damage that can cause something they consider silly

Okay so. Son “steals” money from his sister, and OP sells his Pokémon collection. But when he finds out the daughter lied no simpler punishment is given. Tells me that OP knew the punishment was wrong even when he thought his son stole.

I think that if the same thing happened to you you would then understand what your son is going for then you might get it but since you didn't clearly ask your son beforehand you basically done something you cannot replace and it's not something it's already done you should take whatever you hold dear and sell and see how you like it will let him do it for you and see how you like it that's in you didn't think about it too much you didn't realize that you may have just done more harm than good it sounds very disappointing
