Multiple people can lie about the same thing without realizing it and here's an example: A while back there were 5 teenage boys and they were talking with their dad on their porch. Then suddenly a car came by, a hand came out the window and shot their dad. The boys went to court when asked if a person was their dad's killer, they all said yes. Years later the alleged criminal wanted a retrial so an expert recreated the scene next to perfectly. Then the judge was brought over to see the crime scene and a car was brought over, stoped infront of the judge, and the judge could see nothing inside the car. The shooting happened with the car driving but even with a still car the judge couldnt see the person. The boys obviously didnt want to put the wrong person in jail but they all saw something that wasnt real.
