He would find them walking alone on Route 40, offer them a ride, and once they got in? He’d drive them somewhere isolated and hurt them in a way that was so disturbing, cops couldn’t even figure out why he was doing it—because there was no motive. No robbery. No assault. Just pain for the sake of it. And after he was done, he’d leave their bodies on the side of the road. Out in the open. No effort to hide them. And the worst part? He left blue carpet fibers all over them, which told police… whatever happened, it happened inside that van. So police get desperate and send an undercover officer to pose as a hitchhiker and she’s the one who ends up spotting him. She notices the van, gets close enough to see the blue carpet, rips off a piece, writes down the plate number… and that’s what finally lets them get a warrant. And when they check the van? It had everything. Tools. Restraints. DNA. Proof of everything he did.
