I hate this so much 😭 it genuinely makes me feel awkward to be around my dad in public. Like I’m 21 and still sometimes hold my mum’s hand but I can’t hold my dad’s hand anymore 😔 why do people always assume such disgusting things

This is legit me and my Dad!!! It’s happened more times than I can count. It started when I was only 16 and kept going, and is worse now that I’m in my 30’s. Granted my Dad looks good for his age (he’s 64) but STILL. Not to mention we look EXACTLY alike. It’s so awkward. I gotta steal the working in “hey dad” thing.

So why would everyone think that he is her boyfriend, even if her mom is around? Something is clearly being expressed publicly that people are picking up on. I never assume a significantly older man and the young woman with him are anything but father and daughter, unless they behave in a way that implies something else.

When I was 17 (and looked it!) my dad and I did a swamp tour in Christmas, FL. Everyone thought we were married :( it was sooo incredibly awkward.
