My husband built a cot that attached the bed to avoid the gap, it was great. We had one each side so I could switch feeding sides during the night

I have used my pregnancy pillow for between the crib and our mattress for both babies! Also gives me support while nursing

That’s our setup too and it’s worked amazing for us! My guy was a roller though so we did two toddler rails with pool noodles on them so he can’t roll or crawl into the big bed in the night

I also ratchet strapped the crib to our bed frame so it wouldn’t push apart gradually.

I don’t have the space but if I did I would do this but also add a mesh gate that can go across the crib for when baby naps during the day but I’m not in the room 🥰

This! Leaning over a crib gate to pick up baby in the middle of the night is horrible😅 so much better to just pull them closer
