The joke "clanker" feels like a a sort of dogwhistle racism to me even though AI itself isn't a race, I know it's indirectly linked to the oppression of minority groups but I just can't prove it

It goes both ways: not only does it humanize AI, but it also normalizes using the power of actually harmful slurs with the defence of "it's just a joke", which still makes it easier for someone to easily use other slurs.

Realized there’s no real slur for animals(thankfully). we animalize humans with slurs like “pig”, but dehumanize animals at the same time by correlating the animal to negative perceptions of humans :(
