If I scored 1550 on the SAT and am currently developing a method to diagnose cancer and neurodegenerative diseases outside of hospital settings—a project now competing at the national “Olympics” in my country and aiming to qualify for ISEF 2026—would this be considered a strong admissions hook for Harvard’s Restrictive Early Action? I attend school in a very small town with no access to AP classes; none are offered anywhere in my country except at international schools in major cities. Even if I lived in one of those cities, attending such a school would be financially impossible, as my parents are in severe debt. I am relying on a national scholarship to continue my college education.

how big is being a davidson fellow? the research award. can it offset a gpa of 92 ish but high up-trend from freshman to jr (90 freshman and sophomore and 94-95 junior with 5 aps at a pub hs). i also have a rank lf 80/442 but i was selected to be Davison fellow in the tech sector. I was lead author on paper. My ecs are insanely strong but grades are pretty bad. My cousin died my freshman year so it affected me. My sat is a bit low but what are my chances at colleges like CMU (DS), UWASH (ds), Berkeley (DS) etc. Do you think it offsets?
