I keep saying i think they cared more about arguing with black Americans on online than actually supporting her

well, i personally have no problem with tyla using the term colored. i don't think she should have to identify as "black" if she isn't. SAs don't want to cater to AA and that's okay. AA shouldn't expect her to conform to their standard or expectations. I find SAs to be very xenophobic anyway (as a British nigerian) so I'm all for leaving them alone to do whatever, let them sink or swim with whatever they want to do

Its a lot of reasons why she flopped.
1. Her fans
2. The ignorant of black history
3.breakfast club attitude.
4. hold my trophy.
5. separating herself from black and SA culture looming down on the majority
6. her music is trash.

When her fans said we didn’t have culture and told us she didn’t need us slaves to support her, that did it for us!!

An Asian American man saying a term that describes the complex racial history/dynamics of SA that existed for a century is made to mock BAs.

Honestly idk why you’re coming at tyla when it’s others that are saying the bad things abt african Americans she is mixed race and race is more complex in other countries the world does not revolve around america she racially would be called colored in her country so that’s what she said she was I don’t not see the harm in this it seems as if people just want to have a problem with her bc they don’t want to learn. she hasn’t said anything negative abt African Americans or anything at all honestly

This was a 4 song EP with two songs that were already singles. The songs on there clearly was never intended for American audiences. The ep is clearly a hit on streaming services.

Thank you!!! I genuinely believe a simple conversation about this would helped boost her career in the states instead her team shy’ed away from a conversation that would have connected her to her target market. We don’t need her to deny that she is mixed but we don’t play about that word colored here.

I wouldnt say she's not smart...I would say her team for the US fumbled and didnt do right by her. She should have made some changes. Not gonna fault her for trusting them. You dont know what you dont know.

I don’t think it’s that serious. It’s possible that her promotional budget was too low considering it’s no secret that she’s on a budget. In other words, her marketing strategy was a flop. 👀

I’m sorry, but if TYLA trying to come over here to America and want black women to embrace HER, you need to understand us if not stay on your side of the street. PERIOD!! that’s coming from the 96% in the US. 💜
