i have the opposite problem, i start on a concept that has me bricked up and tooting like an old fashioned steam train whistle, then I start what should be a single sentence of descriptive backstory for a minor side character, and my ADHD grabs it and runs around the house until it’s a tragic unsexy satire abt dying americana

as a man who writes erotica: the trick is you need to push through the horny and finish up your writing session and THEN take care of business. use the horny as inspiration. ideally you don't even look at the writing again until the end of the day.
