what should i do if my coach wants to change my jumpshot? I shoot a quite normal 1 motion shot (nothing out of the ordinary) and he says I release the ball too low and wants me to raise the ball way above my head and release at the apex of the jump like Ray Allen, I simply cannot shoot like that, especially since I rely heavily on deep shots. What should I do?

Coach to coach, how do you address this? I’ve had a few kids like this and it’s horrifically frustrating. I’ve been able to talk to some, both struggle to connect with others.
