Look with all due respect, @taylorswift, orange is kind of our thing 🔸 And so is closing northbound I-5 in Seattle this weekend as we pick up our work zone on the Ship Canal Bridge. Starting Friday night, Aug. 15, and through early Monday morning, Aug. 18, northbound I-5 will be closed from the I-90 interchange to Northeast 45th St. Just like last time, the express lanes will run northbound all weekend. When we reopen on Monday morning, all northbound lanes across the Ship Canal Bridge will be open again and express lanes will return to their normal configuration. Yes, this particular chapter of Revive I-5 is almost done. BUT. We have a long way to go in this (love?) story. We’ll be doing the same work on southbound lanes later this fall, followed by extensive work on the bridge in 2026 and 2027. We’ll be back out there. can you add extra signage to the on-ramps for the NB I-5 Express lanes? there are two consecutive splits. the second one is unclear esp for ppl who don't typically use the express lanes, bc if you keep right instead of left there, you're merged into the traffic for the upper deck.
