You act as if the disruptor suddenly flips a switch and chooses to act appropriately. On the contrary, other students see that the kid who was disruptive got away with it and they follow suit. Of course there are behaviors I ignore. You can’t react to everything. But behaviors which keep me from doing my job and keep others from learning are going to be stopped, even if I have to stop the lesson.
