@whitefaceford: Your Truck's 'Oil Life' Gauge Is Lying to You! (Pt. 1/2) Your dashboard might say your oil's fine, but it's lying to you. Here's why those 10,000 mile oil changes could destroy your engine. When was the last time you changed your oil? #WorkTruck #EcoBoostEngine #OilChangeTips
I was with you until you said a eco boost should last 300k

I use full synthetic oil and change it every 5,000 miles. I usually still have about 40% oil life left according to the car but I believe more frequent oil changes are good insurance for the motor.

I always go until my Tahoe tells me to change oil. The oil then still is clean and transparent when I change it. I will not waste the money on 3-5k change. Mine has over 180,000 and never had an oil change before the vehicle tells me too.

3,5k? That sounds like you are trying to sell more oil changes. 7k is good.

Depends on engine design. Ecoboom engines beat up the oil. Where as my Mazda with a turbo and DI shows little oil refraction after 7,500 miles.

My brother is one of those people.I've tried to explain to him about oil changes but he says there's a light that comes on when its time to change his oil.Sometimes one has to accept,,,,,all you can do is lead the horse to the water, you cant make it drink!!!!!!!!

Totally disagree…2016 f150 3.5 non turbo. 10k oil changes until warranty was done then 20k oil changes with Amsoil. Sold truck with 240 k miles. Still ran perfect

The fact that you said an eco-boosted engine will go 300-400 thousand miles discredits everything you said. We all know they have major issues
